See what's happening this week @ St. Pauls!
Safeguarding God's Children:
Saturday, March 17, 9:00 to 12:15. This is a program designed to help in preventing the sexual abuse of children. The program has two components, the Safeguarding God's Children for Parents and Congregations is a one and a half hour program providing participants with the information they need to protect the children they know and care for in their personal lives. The second component is an educational program for ministries. A trainer will conduct a three-hour session for adults who serve in ministries for children and youth. Both sessions use a trainer, videos and workbooks. The program is based on the philosophy that if every adult can protect just one child, they will forever change one life. If we can all change one life, together we will make a difference in this generation of children. Registrations should be made through our secretary, Cariena at 382-2973 or . Her office hours 8:00 to 2:30, Monday through Friday. Registration deadline is Tuesday, March 13.

Camp Sunday March 11:
Alyssa Hart, a member of St. Pauls and a staff member at Camp Carol Joy Holling, will be here to visit with families and their children about camping opportunities.  We have designated the week of June 24th through the 29th as St. Pauls week at Camp Carol Joy Holling.  All children who will be entering grades 1-5 in the coming school year are eligible to attend.  Please note that if you child is not able to attend during this week we still encourage them to attend as your schedule permits. Scholarships are available and no child will be turned away due to financial concerns.

Children's Drawing Sought:
As part of the monthly themes we will be encouraging the children to participate and do a drawing each month which focuses on the monthly theme.  For February, that theme is Extending the Joy of Camping.  The children’s drawings will be displayed in the Fellowship Hall each month.  The drawings can be turned in to Bob Rye as they are completed.  We would suggest that they be on letter size paper (8 ½ by 11 inches) and pencil or color.  They can be signed or unsigned.

Give 12 in 2012:
The Lay Ministry team is issuing a challenge (and opportunity) to each member to find a way to give 12 hours of service in the year 2012.  If you are now actively involved in the mission and ministry of St. Pauls you likely already meet this goal.  If you are not currently involved, here is the opportunity to get started or to renew that involvement.   Each month we will highlight a theme around the joy of serving, Extending the Joy... For March, the theme is The Joy of Mission

Wednesdays in Lent:
During Lent our Wednesday schedule will be adjusted to focus on our traditions of worship.  Our Lenten worship services will be at 11:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. each Wednesday beginning Ash Wednesday, February 22.  We will begin with a meal at 5:30 followed by worship at 7:00 p.m.  There will be no confirmation, children’s W.A.V.E. ministry or Faith Lens adult study during Lent.  Choirs schedules have also been adjusted around worship.  Be sure to join us on this Lenten Journey.

Worship Service Recordings:
The 9:00 a.m and 11:00 a.m. worship services are being recorded and is available on the’ website,  Copies of the service are also available on CD, contact Bob Rye if you would like a copy.
