See what's happening this week @ St. Pauls!

Fall Cleanup:
With fall here and winter on the way, it’s time to get the prayer garden and church landscaping ready for the seasonal change. On Saturday, October 22, beginning at 8:30, volunteers are needed to move the fountain, statuary, planters, benches, trim shrubs, rake leaves, and in general clean the property. This year we also need help moving curb stops and cleaning the exterior of all the windows. Please bring loppers, leaf blowers, rakes, shovels, and small shop-vacs to clean cobwebs from the windows. As always, coffee break treats are greatly appreciated and can be left in the Fireside Room that morning. Please contact Vicki Rye 389-4781 for more information.

Confirmation Sunday:
Thirteen 9th graders from the congregation will be affirming their baptism at our 11:00 worship service this Sunday.  They have completed their group and individual faith statements (which will be shared and made available to the church on Confirmation Sunday) and have been interviewed to affirm their understanding of the faith by pastors.

Stewardship Sunday:
Sunday, October 30. is Stewardship Sunday.  Join us for a catered breakfast with entertainment from some of the youth of our congregation.  Also, we will again have a children’s “noisy offering” during worship so kids can bring their offering forward in unbreakable containers.  Guest speaker will be Pastor Dave Zellmer at all three services.  Please give prayerful consideration to your financial pledge to support the mission and ministry of St. Pauls for 2012.

All Saints Sunday:
On the weekend of Nov. 5-6 we will celebrate All Saints Sunday by recognizing those in our congregation who have passed away in the last year.  In addition we are asking everyone to take some time to recognize those saints in our lives who have helped us grow in faith.  Please share these saints with us by writing their names on the colored inserts in the bulletins and place them in the basket located at the back of the church as you leave worship.  You may also leave them in the church office on Jenny’s desk.  We will put these papers on the walls of the sanctuary and chapel as a visible reminder of the “Great cloud of Witnesses...” (Hebrews 12:1) surrounding us.  You’re encouraged to list as many saints as you can.  Additional slips are available at the Welcome Center.

Sunday Morning Van Drivers:
We are again in need of people to pick up those wishing to attend worship but are in need of a ride.  If you could help with this ministry please contact Bob Rye at the church, 382-2973 or brye@stpaulsgi.org

Home Communion Deacons:
We are in need of people to serve as Home Communion Deacons.  We have many members unable to get to church who appreciate receiving communion occasionally.  Our volunteer deacons call on 3-4 members once every three months to share communion with them.  If this is something you could help with please contact Bob Rye, 382-2973 or brye@stpaulsgi.org

Bulletin Announcements:
Please send your announcements and information for the bulletin directly to Jenny Yelli at jyelli@stpaulsgi.org Jenny’s hours are 1:00-4:00 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Announcements should be sent to her by noon on Tuesday if at all possible. If your information is for both the bulletin and the newsletter, please copy Bob Rye.
