New Messages!

Caroling:
The St. Pauls Men's Group will be caroling at the Veter- an's Home on Thursday, December 20, at 6:30 p.m.
We are inviting everyone to join us. We will meet at the main entrance.
Contact Alan Lepler or Bob Rye for more information.

Bible Studies Beginning in Jan:

The Lutheran Course
Join us as we review the fundamentals of Lutheranism in 7 sessions beginning Sunday, January 6, 2013. Classes will be in the Garden Room Annex (by the Fellowship Hall). This will be a fun class and is great for new Lutherans, old Lutherans and anyone in between. A Martin Luther bobble head doll will be presented to one of the partici- pants who completes the class.
Love Dare-a couples study.
These 8 small-group sessions are based around movie clips from the motion picture FIREPROOF, and connects couples to The Love Dare, both during the session and throughout the week. It helps provide opportunities to talk about real life in real mar- riage, explore and apply God's Word, and invites participants into a risky but redemptive journey! This study will be held on Wednesday evenings beginning Wednesday, January 9, at 7:15 p.m.

For more information on any of the above studies, contact Bob Rye at  382-2973.
Ongoing Messages
Christmas Cantata:
THE KING OF LOVE, A Christmas Cantata by Rodger Strader will be presented by the St. Pauls Festival Choir and the Grand Island Central Catholic High School Choir at the 9:00  am service on Sunday, December 16th and again at 6:30 pm on Sunday, December 16th at Grand Island Central Catholic

The combined choirs are under the direction of Deb Scheel and Pam Ahlman and have been rehearsing separately for some time and will be joining their voices to present this wonderful story of Christmas through song and scripture.

Advent study – I Wonder as I Wander:
Pastor Sylvia and Pastor Bill will lead an Advent study I Wonder as I Wander on Sunday mornings at 10:10 a.m. The study will be held in the Garden Room Annex (by the Fellowship Hall).
Hope, love, joy and peace - for many of us, these are the names of the four candles lit during Advent. But do these words mean anything to us and to the world today? Is hope still alive? Does love always find a way? What gives joy to the world? Will nations - and next-door neigh- bors - ever be at peace? Join the writers as they explore questions like these and as they reflect on who God is and what God has done through Jesus in this season of preparation.

Continuing Studies:
Continuing studies include Wednesday night Faith Lens, Tuesday noon Women’s study, Daily Discipleship (Sunday mornings and Wednesdays at 11:00), Wednesday night In Depth, and Thursday morning men’s group.

For more information on any of the above studies, contact Bob Rye at 382-2973.
