New Messages!

Blessings and Congratulations:
Blessings and Congratulations to the family of D. J. and Shalynne Jenneman.  Their new baby, Makenna Elise Jenneman was born on July 25, 2012.

Outdoor Workday:
On Saturday, August 18 we will haul mulch into the garden and the landscaped areas around the church as well as weed, deadhead, etc. We will also try to correct some drainage issues around the Child Care. Because it sounds as if the high temperatures may continue, this work will start at 8:00 a.m. and should be completed no later than about 10:00 a.m. This means we will need plenty of help, at least 12-15 people, to get this project accomplished. We will also need several wheel barrows, pruners, loppers, etc. Treats will be provided.  Contact Vicki Rye at 389-4781 with questions.

Primrose Coffee Group:
Visit Primrose Retirement Communities at 3990 West Capital Avenue every Tuesday at 9:15 a.m. for free coffee, rolls and great conversation.

Tricia Beem Fundraiser:
Please note this benefit that will assist Tricia Beem,  who has been on our continuing prayer list.  There will be a Waffle 'N Chicken benefit for Tricia Beem to help her with medical expenses following cancer treatment. August 11, 8-11 a.m. at Howard Johnson Riverside Inn. Tickets are $8 (5 years & under free). Silent auction and raffle tickets can be purchased at the door, at the Hall County Convention & Visitors Bureau, Howard’s Jewelry or at Prairie Winds Art Center. For more information call Jan Schmidt at 384-0478.

Senior Ministry Outing:
On Friday, August 24 there will be another Senior Ministry outing. We will be going to Cedar Hills Winery for lunch. We would like to meet at the church at 10:30. Please be sure to call Ardis Wiese 402-886-2362 to reserve your spot.  We need to get an accurate count in order to schedule transportation.
